yep! "Thermal oxidation" as opposed to electrolytic oxidation (anodization), they came out ok

I used a torch (first prepped: polished the Ti and cleaned it).

You can control the colors a bit, more heat and you go through a spectrum. With a steady hand and a consistency, you can get a somewhat uniform color, or at least try to get a certain color range.
