Giro Synthe MIPS / Nashbar Sale

Anyone have the Giro Synthe MIPS?
Looking for a new helmet (I have the Aeon and love it).
Nashbar has a 17% sale and free shipping today and tomorrow, so the cost is $224

I have a non MIPS one. Only complaint so far is that I can't mount my Vis 360+ - Light & Motion to it. Or at least I've yet to figure out how to do it. Considering a new helmet (catlike or lazer) at some point so I can.

Reason: It's useful for rides in the early morning or evening. Great for commuting imho as I lived in a city and hope to move back.

I too have a regular Synthe. I like how it fits.

I have heard complaints that the MIPS has little plastic dots that touch your head, and my wife says it catches her hair (has a Savant MIPS for general use).

Doesn't go on sale often, and the $45 savings is worth giving this a try.

If the mips does its thing in a fall, you are considerably less likely to sustain a serious concussion ... You may hurt just as much, but long term damage is less likely.

That struck me as really cheap insurance, so I bought one ( Scott Lin) two years ago. No noticeable difference in fit or comfort for me.
