I just placed an order for some rubber grommets for a Hunter fan and the total price including taxes was $16.05, but they have some interesting price options for shipping these to me

I find the 2 day is usually the best deal. I see that holds true.

Indeed.

Unless, of course, you're L "Absolutely, Positively, Has To Be There Overnight" A....

oh my lord by these...

http://www.probikekit.com/bicycle-wheels/campagnolo-zonda-wheelset-black/10864822.html

I had HED Bastognes 20/24 and have moved them to my trainer. Decided to let my money ride on this wheelset.

1) I'm more aware of the road and it's nuances
2) stiff
3) quietest hub I've ever heard
4) was cutting through headwinds I'd normally struggle against.
5) 1550 grams. they feel light and lively even at 100 grams more than the HED's. but wow what a set. put 60km on them yesterday after my first installation and headed up north. very highly recommended wheelset.
6) yes PBK took longer than the other places ( shipped using a Spanish company? ) but even though the US is now up to $800 without duty, Canadians face our own duty woes...wait for it...$20. yes kids, $20 and anything over we risk paying. But I didn't pay duty on them.

This is interesting, even though we're moving for a minute away from the humorous intent of this thread...sorry.
Just consider it an alert to PBK's "humorous" shipping practices. I certainly hope I'm the only one who has been joked on in this manner.

I very recently ordered a Fizik stem and seatpost from PBK. The parcel was, in fact, shipped with Spanish labels on the box.

When I saw the box on my porch, I was shocked. I have never received a parcel as shoddy as this one. Fortunately, the stem/post were contained in their own (very nice) Fizik boxes and so arrived in perfect condition.

Second, we're talking a stem/seatpost! Shipped in this way-too-oversize recycled box, with two ripped scraps of bubble wrap thrown, not even wrapped around the Fizik boxes, and that's it? Fuuu..., really.

But a more fragile item? Crushed, certainly. A smaller item, mixed in with the larger ones? Gone, through the K-B-K sized potholes all over the box. Even hard men like Tafi, Museeuw, Boonen, etc., would have all endo'd over those craters.

And now there seems to be no way (that I can find, even through my PBK account) to complain to those people that they really need to up their packing game. Everything bounces back, or "We will reply shortly." Nada. It's a disgrace. I cannot imagine buying wheels from a company that ships like this, but I certainly hope that you received yours in perfect condition, and that anyone else who orders from PBK receives their parcels intact.

holy crap... mine looked nothing like that.

packed tight in the campy box. nothing out of sorts. delivered to the post office that I had to sign for. Sorry that was your end result. Wasn't mine intention for posting a PBK comment. Guess I got lucky.

Plus, still 0 zero replies from "Customer Service".

I think I'm done with PBK; I would be too stressed on my next order. It's pretty obvious that they really don't care much, and in that case I'd rather my business goes to someone who does care.

Keith

Those must be heavy grommets.
