Saw the video yesterday, I doubt many of those bikes made it intact to where ever the guys were going, IMO they will sell every single part and discard the frames because sure a few arrived damaged, parts are harder to track down than those frames.

Is it possible Wiggins and Sagan were in that crew?

I worked in a shop in Pensacola, FL when I was a young man and one day we opened in the morning and the place looked odd. It took a few minutes to figure out that there were bikes missing from the showroom floor. A few minutes later we noticed that used bikes that had been in repair stands at the end of the day were also gone. Then we noticed that some tools were missing from the tool wall. Very odd.

No sigh of break-in.....doors and windows intact and locked. Then I noticed some fiberglass insulation on the floor in the middle of the back room. Odd. Looking up we saw that a hatch door that went into the attic was open. The room had a good 10 foot ceiling so we had to find a ladder and when we finally got up there and looked in the attic we found all the missing bikes. The thieves had come in through a small access door into the attic from the outside and then dropped into the bike shop. They then pulled the bikes up with a rope (left up there) and when they tried to get the bikes out they didn't fit out the access door they'd snuck in. There were tools scattered about that they'd 'borrowed' in an attempt to make the bikes small enough to fit out the attic door but the door was too small so most everything was still up there.

Some stuff was damaged but nothing was missing. The next time they hit us they were smarter and much more successful.

Ahh the good ol days.

Considering these were Stradalli bikes, I'm surprised they haven't brought them back, yet.

Ouch.

Guess their softcore porn advertising strategy makes the bikes desirable to some.

South FL is indeed the wild west. Im guessing those bike are in a shipping container headed for South America as I type this.

And, there's no way any "Strombolli" is worth $12k.

back in the old days when a business crapped out, they just burned everything and collect the insurance...

Geez! Was this a group ride that started, but never ended at the LBS, or ironically now only the LS?

"A peloton of thieves..."

I'm not sure if I should laugh or groan at this one.
