View Full Version : Auction Frames
Is it unreasonable to ask Serotta to supply a photograph of a frame i might be interested in bidding for?
Blind bidding is one thing, but 'blind viewing'?

I agree. I sent a note asking to see some photos but they replied saying that the frame is already boxed so no photo. Blind auction ....is literally what it is.

You got a reply? I didn't even get that.
I think boxing up the frames before the auction has even finished, and then using it as a reason for not supplying photographs is...er, nonsense.
Is 'something' being hidden away in these boxes?
I've decided that unless a pic is forthcoming i will not be bidding. These terms are not acceptable to me. Good luck to everyone else.
Hot news...i got a reply to my auction frame information request!
Sadly, the entire frame is painted, which is a disappointment. I would liked to have seen some bare 'flesh'.
Time is nearly up.
