Worst/Ugliest Bike

The Visp thread got me thinking of ugly bikes.

Anyone else seen good ones in the wild?

This one belongs to a.....interesting character in SF.

Note the upside AND backwards bars as well as the shifters mounted on the tops (bottoms?).

I think thats my favorite part. Those shifters might be worth more than the entire bike

The ugliest bike is the forlorn, neglected or disrepaired one that never gets ridden. To the cognoscenti they will always be varying degrees of aesthetic desirability based on some archetype. For example I ride 'em long 'n low and to me my own bikes look cartoonish. But mostly, there is really no such thing as an ugly bike.

All done in service of the ride.

(Yes, I am aware this post makes me the "that guy" for its potential buzz-kill factor ;))

If I saw that bike with the upside facing drops I couldn't help but to put them back in their correct drop direction. He would just have to get use to the shifters being upside down and reversed.:D

Back from where I'm originally from (Philippines), I used to see this everyday on the streets where newspaper delivery men to those guys selling their wares on the streets. Rusted single-speed bikes with bars upside down.

Some of these guys I also see racing during the weekends.
More of local sprints where they bet .50c to a $1 per stretch.
