You are not kidding, those are priceless.
"When this bike first arrived, I got a few of my friends from the gym to help me carry the box from my front porch to the living room, where we unpacked it. 11 days later, after a few quick trips to the local bike shop for a some extra screws, new calipers and cables and a new bottom bracket, my baby was born."

First off, I believe carpediemracing pal has finally found a setup that works for him without resorting to -80 degrees stem.
Secondly, this looks like something Mr. Predator would ride.

That thing is a masterpiece. You can stare at the picture forever and still find new things wrong with it.
It's like someone who once watched a few minutes of a bike race described what a bike looks like to someone over the phone who doesn't speak the same language.
That person then built this bike.
I love the location of the brake levers. It's even got a kickstand!

I have to be honest, that bike looks a lot better than many of the low end treks that sell for 2 times what this one does.
Funny comments from amazon :)

My favorite part is the kick stand attached to both seat and chain stay to hold up that 35lbs beast.
The shifting 'paddles" double as clip on arrow bars.

I wonder Specialized feels about the logo on that crankset in the Amazon ad. In today's threads we go from fUCI to fU2.
The butthurt in the Q&A is the best part.

Out of the next 100 cats who buy that bika, 2 years down the line, one will buy a Firefly and another will buy an RCa.
In America, even connoisseur cat sommeliers and michelin star chefs probably start with Coors Light and Kraft Singles.

I sent them an email mentioning a few things and they didn't even know what I was talking about. These are dangerous, ought to be illegal.

They also sell this thing that looks appealing to a guy who just put a derailleur into his spokes. If I thought it would work and fit and .... wasn't ugly .... and heavy .... and generally wrong ....

i once saw somebody riding around on a clunky hybrid that had one of those derailleur-protectors (which, you know, for cheap bikes are fine or whatever) - but, confusingly, the rider had apparently confused it for a water bottle cage and had jammed a water bottle into it.

Stop it, guys, please stop. You are killing me.
And that was even before I got to my favorite spec detail in the ebay ad:
"Germany Twitter Cable Mechanical Disc Brake"
Rarely has so much 'wrong' been expressed in so few words...
