This bike is in beautiful condition, cosmetically and function. My knees are not young anymore, so I have to say goodbye to this amazing machine, hopefully it can be enjoyed and passed on to someone who will ride it like Eddy Merckx.

purchased from a local Oakland track racer,

That's a big ask for a bike with issues.

Can someone validate what model this is based on the subject line - thinking Pista or maybe one of the new Blockhaus67's?

Real easy. The Blockhaus67 is a compact alloy frame with an integrated headset. This is not that.
The Pista has completely different geometry whick we cant see but also has track dropouts and no cable stops. These we can see this MX Leader has.

And as you see Mark linked to the correct Pista.
Have a nice evening.

The one in the original link is a mxl.

The one in the second link it is ... and a beautiful one. Race ready.

The only thing I would do is to put 22 mm tubulars to it, clincher wheels are not worthy of such a nice race bike at all. Hope doesnt go to somebody that will drill holes for brakes, because that day the bike will start agonizing.

Had a tesch like this one years ago, thanks god went to a collector because I was not going to sell it to a person that was going to use it to deliver stuff in the street neither drill holes for brake calipers.
