I know quite a few of you follow the bike business closely....thought you might find this interesting...maybe the incentive to order from the LBS will be better than ordering from the UK.

Anyone know what retail now is on the Di2 785 kit? (everything besides crank)

Wonder what campagnolo will do. Probably do another change so nothing is compatible with anything old in the 11 line up and hike the prices hehehe :D

Not complaining, just saying :)

Between you and me this 2015 - pre 2014 issue makes me wonder seriously to just keep 10 speed forever.

"The problem is the U.K. What other industry is there where customers can buy products for the same or less than we can? We've ordered pedals from Chain Reaction and Wiggle because they were cheaper than from Shimano,"

The UK outfits are smart, they buy open mold carbon frames to build up and thus get classified as an OEM. So they buy parts at better rates than a typical shop in the US. Then they can sell parts for less, and since they know how to be competitive customers get the benefit.

It's a take up spool in the RH lever is all. The levers are the same otherwise. Buy a Chorus RH ERGO assembly for $65 and swap the spool..or get 2015 levers and a 2014 spool..$15.

Did you complain about shimano making their entire 10s wheel lineup obsolete with 11s?

BUT the issue is still unrestricted OEM resale, gray/black market and distributors(some in the US) selling direct to consumers..add in the wonky manufacturer/distributor pricing contracts in Europe.
