Anyone have experience with this? I have a Garmin 810 and some vector pedals on one bike. Was thinking of a stages crank on another but wondered how problematic or annoying it would be to have mixed power meters. Does the Garmin understand different meters saved on different bike profiles and manage the one-sided vs two-sided difference?

How about comparability across data streams?

i know you can tell an 810 if a each bike in a profile does or doesnt have a power meter...not sure how it would work with a double sided vs single sided meter though.

i assume the thing sorts that out internally through some sort of witchcraft.

bottom line - i cant see why this would be an issue.

Not an issue, just have a profile for each bike. The l/r balance field will be blank if the power meter doesn't support it.

I do it. SRM on my road bike, Stages on my track bike. Using an SRM PC8 now but it was not a problem on the Garmin 810.

I do it with my Edge 1000 all the time...

You can do it with the Edge 800-10, or the 1000. The 800-10 uses bike profiles for each bike (and each power meter). You pair the 1000 with all of the power meters and in connects with the paired power meter you are using. I routinely use different powertap hubs and sensors across different bikes with my 1000 (and formerly with my 810).
