Strava weirdness -- GPS location/time off

After our Saturday group ride, I was checking out Strava's flyby for this ride. While watching this, I noticed a rider (that I knew was with our group) trailing behind for most of the ride. After chatting with a another local rider, he says he's seen the same thing happen with this particular guy. BTW, he is using a Garmin Edge 500.

Have you guys ever seen this before?
