Made this for a friend (key holder), I have some more unused parts. Trying to figure out what to do with the rim and the hub. For the rim I've seen it made into a coffee table or a clock and the hub into a business card holder or a pencil holder. Looking for some creative ideas.

If your have red or green anodized/painted rims, they might serve as the basis of a bike-themed Christmas wreath...

limiting if you ask me unless you cut it up
assuming you don't want to, i would think a useful repurpose would be as a frame, like a bathroom mirror above a sink; only other thing can think of is a lazy susan
if you are willing to cut it into sections, then depending on the arc you select lots of uses. door pulls, towel bar...

post pics. i love to take a cast off piece of furniture and repurpose it into something else last one i did i took a large trunk style coffee table and used the wood to build a side table with open area underneath for the kid's school backpacks. the challenge was not using anything that wasn't original to the coffee table

No problem cutting it up, i was thinking of book ends, but like the towel bar idea better.

if you have enough rims would be a rack (liked your bookend idea, but wanted to use the rim as horizontal surface too), so things that could rest on a "shelf" of rim sections, and since it would be curved, other pieces would be dividers or ends
wine rack, shoe rack, unusual book or magazine rack-could be pretty cool

sort of this shape
but not a "shelf" but 2 sections of rim in parallel

another idea if you had multiple rims

I've seen coat hangers made from rims, using twisted spokes as the hooked part.

I have a lot of broken stuff that I can't bear to throw out, because I think it could be art/utilitarian pieces, but I am not a creative person. I have a cracked Kestral frame that I have tried to envision as something.

I'd love to see what folks have come up with. I like the key holder idea

I've seen it turn into a toilet paper holder.

Made a belt out of donated tire. Tire to thick will try again with a thinner casing one and made a credit card pouch out of a old tube.
