Has anyone ever come across a fake Tommasini?
A quick search didn't bring anything up. I'm interested more in the steel frames. Maybe too niche of a brand to bother counterfeiting?

Seems like one could just apply decals to a frame that didn't have pantos and advertise it as anything.

Tommasini frames usually have an engraved T logo on the chain stays at the seat tube joint. IIRC. Some also have a t cut out in the head tube lugs.

Yeah, I'm thinking more along the lines of a more sophisticated level of counterfeiting beyond just decals.
If a frame has stampings or cutouts like Black Dog mentioned, is there a chance that a frame with these marking could be a fake?

I would say that the odds are very low. It is not a brand with big enough sales to warrant a skilled builder to counterfeit well enough to pass as real. There is no money to be made here. You will be safe if you find one.
