Hi all,

This is a pretty silly question but does anyone know if the new Specialized Purist MoFlo caps have removable nozzles? Ex: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftb/bottles-cages/water-bottles/22-oz-purist-moflo-bottle

The older versions had removable nozzles which made it really easy to clean but these new caps seem to be a lot more stubborn. My new bottles have had this weird plastic-y taste and I think I've narrowed the source down to the caps.

Thanks!

This implies that the answer to your question is "No."

Anything with "gate" after it just sounds like a scandal. Maybe the "watergate" has to do with stealing clean water from California reservoirs?

BTW, despite the dumb name, the "fixy" is a pretty good top. It's nice and smooth to open, but it does spill water if you leave it open and it falls.

Thanks for the chart! I must have missed it on the site. It's a bummer that the MoFlo poppets aren't removable now, makes them a lot harder to clean.

All of my bottles with the new caps keep leading to a plastic-y taste and I can't quite figure out how to get rid of it yet. Anyone else having this problem? I feel a little silly being so picky--but I just want to enjoy my water!

I was hating the watergate top due to worrying about it getting dirty... then these images came up in a previous thread and I've been taking it apart. Now that I've done so I love it... it is actually very easy to clean.
