I like Mastik One and pretty much just stick to that, pun intended.

Panaracer and Mastik

Conti. Even prefer their alloy glue for carbon tubies. The carbon stuff is too, bleh.

I'm weird like that.

Shimano, Campagnolo, SRAM... which is the best to buy? ;)

Seriously, it seems everyone has their favorite. I know the Old Spud likes Panaracer, for example. For me, Mastik. What that tells me is that there's not a huge difference between them.

Unlike bike components, where Campy is obviously head and shoulders above everything else... :D

Anybody have a link to that university study from a couple years ago?

Mastik'One even before I read that... Mastik'One 4eva

Lots of interesting reading material on the subject here:

***Edit*** These ^^^ are the (ongoing?) university studies referenced above and below, now includes tubular tape compared to glue.

Mastik One but I'm testing Effeto Mariposa Carogna tape on one bike... so far, so good.

I recall reading a study in which Mastik One performed well. Been using it ever since.

Mastik 1. I am however, interested in the new Magic Mastik and may try next time I mount tires.

^^ Precisely this for me, too.

And if you're using Conti tubulars, they fit so tightly that you don't have to worry bout them rolling off.

A thin layer on the rim. Let it flash for about 15 minutes. Another thin layer on the rim and mount the tire. (Yes, none on the base tape and, yes, it will be difficult to mount, but that's a good thing). Center the tire on the rim. Inflate to 25 psi and roll on a broomstick or the basement floor to seat the tire. Inflate to 120 psi and let stand overnight. Ride. Enjoy. Be sure to bring tire levers on the ride as you'll need them to get the tire off should you flat. I wore blisters on both thumbs when removing one street-side on the one ride I DIDN'T bring tire levers.

Oh and have only rolled one tire off in over 25 years and I didn't mount that one myself.

As a newb to tubulars, I am proud to report that I am on my second can of mastik one!
Didn't realize gluing tires such an very enjoyable process when paired with good beer, music and poor ventilation.

I've used Conti for decades. I think the application of the product is more important than the product. They all work, otherwise they wouldn't exist. It's not a huge market.

What, no love for Clement Red?!?
That stuff stuck like crazy, was impossible to remove, and got itself on everything, kind of like a kid with peanut butter on his fingers let loose in the house.

I think we need to discuss a set of appropriate road tubulars when I am in AZ in the spring. I am suddenly intrigued by the prospect.

And go...

My very favorite is Panaracer..get cans, be well venilated(or 'take a trip without leaving the farm'). Clear, doesn't get thick after you open it..great stuff. A favorite of Keirin racers in Japan.

Next is Vittoria, distant last in conti-why is it so expensive??

And no, you don't need 'carbon' glue for carbon rims..
