For the one fellow forumite who gets this: "Everyone should listen to it all the time."

Seen them a few times.

One time was a secret show at the bar Matt used to work at 2 blocks from my house.

Love them. "Holy Mountain", one of my all-time favorite albums. Keeping my eyes peeled for local tour dates.

Four. My faith is restored.

The new vegan death metal cocktail bar in my neighborhood (yes really) has it on a loop in the bathrooms. Also a pic of Danzig holding a cat. The bar abuts the former Pista Palace - purveyor of very expensive Italian carbon, RIP.

heh, some time ago a forum I was once on circulated a petition to instate "one dopesmoker" as a unit of time.

I have dopesmoker on loop in my bathroom. But really, the first time I listened to it, my hard drive crashed 30 minutes in. Too raw. For real.

i did a joke cookbook article for a zine with cooking times set to songs or records, the weed brownies were baked for the duration of sleep's Jerusalem (ds was not out yet). unfortunately its lost to time, but i did the same thing for a hot sauce recipe with grindcore bands. Not a huge Dopesmoker fan but I love the legend and I love 'Holy Mountain'... and I'm a BIG High on Fire fan, who came to Providence (Pawtucket) last year. Matt Pike rules.

This is the incorrect smiley but I hope the sentiment comes through. When I bought my record player in high school, this was one of the first LPs I got. Indirectly responsible for a tonsillectomy...
