PSA: Mavic Plasma SLR Helmet

A couple years ago I was run over by a car and my Mavic helmet saved my life, but it also did some harm. On the bottom left photo, you can see the plastic knife edge that separated off the foam and it actually lacerated my ear. It happened on both sides of the helmet and required some plastic surgery. Don't get me wrong, I'll take that over death!!! I just wanted to warn anyone that had this helmet to be aware. The newer models seemed to have rounded off those corners on the Cosmic, etc.

I hope you sent pics to mavic so it will help them with designs! glad you're okay! Chicks dig scars or so I've heard. My SO definitely doesn't.

Word... definitely the kind of feedback the manufacturer should get. "Thanks for saving my life, but you might want to adjust the design...."
