Maybe someone can give advice here.
I have a Moots Vamoots, and Psychlo_X. I'm thinking of switching to sub-compact cranks. White industries are frequently recommended and have multiple chainring options. However, they require a square taper bottom bracket.
White Industries makes the bottom brackets in spindle lengths of 108, 113, and 121. Which length is appropriate for the above frames? Both have 130mm rear spacing. I've tried to educate myself on this subject but have become more confused.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I'd try calling them- I had a question about their hubs and the person who answered was very knowledgeable.

I think you can forget about 108 mm bb.

A 113 mm white bb together with their VBC crank (which is the one you want?) gives you a pretty normal chain line for a road double but the inner ring could be a bit close to the chain stays if unlucky more likely to be a problem on the cross ofc. WI have a chart in the below link so you can measure where the inner ring ends up depending on how big inner you want to go.
(note that they quote their chain line to the outer chainring).

Here you can read up on chain lines in general if you need.(note that sheldon measure center of the chainrings and not outer as white does above on road doubles)

I have a memory of me discussing this before and that would probably be here so search function may reveal more info..

I have no idea about moots specifically, but I suspect two 113mm bb would get you in the sub compact range on both your rides. It will also give you some flexibility in ring choices down the road. I've got a 113mm bb and a 34tooth chain ring on my vbc. There's room for a lot more on my 68/130 frame. I do have a drive side dimple. It feels like anything smaller would bring the chain ring bolts in too much. There are tech. Docs. On white industries website...if you want to read!
