At the trade shows last year, Panaracer showed a more "normal" looking Gravelking in a 700x32 size. See below.

Anyone know the ETA on these? I'm riding the knobby Gravelkings now and actually like them - they roll a lot faster than expected, and the casing is nice and supple. Smooth tread GK's would be the bee's knees.

I love the 700x26. Awesome to see these coming out too.

those do look very good. i would like to run a combo of the knobby on the rear and one of these up front. would make a good fast dirt set-up.

I'm also keen on these but haven't found an ETA anywhere.

They don't even list the 32's on their website yet.

Would 38s or 40s be great, as well? Would love to try them.

They're coming out with a 41mm version of the knobbed one. Looks pretty sweet for the gnarly stuff

Agreed
The 28s are pretty smooth and roll well, I'd be all in for a set of 32s with the file tread.
I'll add - the 28mm version already measure 30mm on Hed+ Rims.

Responding to my own thread...

I'm also eagerly awaiting these - Clement Strada LGG 700x32. Got an email from Clement saying ETA of March. They've been teasing them for well over a year now.

Been running these tires for a while, they're really smooth and fast.

Then again, it is a 650b x 40c tire! I imagine they'd roll even faster in 700c.

Unless this is a typo, I think you want the reverse, knobby up front... Do you race cross?

Just wanted to add that I love the 28s. I was told the 32s come in either style and can be ordered from Qbp.

Are you sure? I only see item # TR6282, which I'm pretty sure is the knobby version.

Any of you actually ride these things on gravel? I'd want more tread for sure...

Really fine gravel I guess is fine but bigger stuff would be so hairy on these tires with no tread.

I have not, but I agree. I use the 28s as my road tire. The switch at size 32 to the knobby version made sense to me, but I guess there was enough people looking for the road tread in the larger size that it is now an option as well. The 28s work great on firelanes, dirt roads and basically anywhere else a lot of us have used standard 25s on road bikes for years.

I've used my 28s on gravel, it was somewhat terrifying on the poorer quality sections. (-10 percent descent, ruts, loose egg sized gravel)

the nomenclature is pretty hilarious i wouldn't ride them off road to be honest. they are my road tires. i think the clement xplor ush are really good gravel specific tires. I flatted once on them and that was when I should have had a mountain bike no doubt.

I've ridden both the tires in this thread on some pretty big gravel rides. I did 2015's D2R2 180K option on the Panaracer Gravel Kings in 28. No flats. I was definitely wishing for bigger tires at times, but that was for comfort not for fear of damaging the tire. More tread would have also been great, but I wouldn't discount the 28s as a viable option if that's what can fit the bike.
