hello, I'll be trying out the Dura Ace 9000 stuff for the first time this upcoming season. i'm wondering if the brake pads are better than KS salmon. been running KS for years on campy calipers and thought they were much better than the stock pads.

so for you dura ace 9000 owners. If you've ridden both which do you prefer.
stock DA 9000 pads or Kool Stop Salmon?

thanks much!

9000 pads have amazingly good stopping power, don't collect grit easily, and don't beat up your rim braking surfaces much. I don't find the need to use anything else unless I'm going to carbon rims, in which case I'll be using SwissStop anyway. I've had salmon pads in the past and liked them, but once I had 9000 pads on the bike, there was no longer a need to switch.

Why don't you try the stock pads and decide what to use once they are worn? Doesn't seem to be a downside.
