Holy Cow!

I enjoyed the "making (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B62HbIFu-vI)" as much, maybe more than the actual show itself.

Video is nice.
Music is nice.
The subject matter clashes.

Chromecasted that to the big screen and told the wife to watch. We were both very impressed.

Really? I thought they worked together excellently.

Until I saw the making of the video I was thinking they used a drone to film it.

I loved that move...remounting mid-air.

Is the first bike just a normal hardtail?

My favorite is this bit right at the beginning... (https://youtu.be/5ud5T5I4XcA?t=1m29s) the flow through the near field with the background. perfect.

How do the bar spins work? Does that imply no brakes connected?

awesome video!

that said, while i'm no tree hugger, if that wasn't an already existing fire road, it's a bummer to see the mangling of the landscape if it was done just to create that video. from the comments section it looks to be up in cambria, which was my guess (been there a gazillion times when i lived in the area). the hills and countryside there are just beautiful. they used to film car commercials all the time on santa rosa creek rd. (sucked to be riding all the way there only to be told to turn around, road's closed).

Saw this when it came out during the summer. I can't count the number of times I have watched it since, most recently just this past weekend when I showed it to a friend. Awesome.

Collar that the cables run into. Must make brake cable changes a major PITA but they've been around for a long long time.. common in the 80s on nice BMX bikes.

Maybe a detangler like you see on a freestyle bmx?...hydro?

Very cool! But if you're interested in actual riding, fast forward to about 1:20 into the video. Unfortunately the first third of the entire video is him driving a truck and putting on his helmet...

My guess here was a long enough hydro cable to allow it. You'll notice he spins them on the jump, then spins them back on a small jump a few seconds later.

Yeah, that part, with the scenery and the music and the rhythm, just screams "joy". Captures the pure fun of riding a bike.
