Someone needs to jump on this if it's legit!
The parts are era incorrect for the bike (the frame is older than the parts - looks to be late 60s) and it appears to be a Model B instead of a SC, but it looks like a very clean frameset from the pics.

I forgot to mention it was a Model B. Was there any real difference from the Supercorsa besides the fork?

I contacted the owner. He's the second owner. Says it's very clean. Further than that, he doesn't have much detail.

I've got a commitment he'll hold it for me. I'm headed down there at 3pm.
Hands off guys.

Agreed--it looks like you can see the fender eyelet peaking out from behind the rear mech. (I wish you could see if it has the oiler/drain hole that was on my old 'B' which was early 60s)
If I had cash I would be on this....
Hope it works out for you, Christian.

AFAIK, no--just the fork difference...
Whoops-just checked--the Cinelli timeline says that when they switched to Columbus from Reynolds tubing in 1963, the SCs were all Columbus, the Bs used Falck tubing for stays and forks...

I have a friend that has an older SC, Reynolds tubing, fender braze ons, and fenders.

My breath is bated...
Wow. Since its on the east coast and a red B, it probably came from Kopp's. Make sure to send a note to the Cinelli registry. Beautiful bike.

Me too, but I'm thinking it must not be a happy ending.

Pretty much. Because there are already some of us here that knew quite well this was not going to happen. Despite announcements to the contrary.

Sorry I missed the updates to the thread. I spoke to the guy on Wednesday and he seemed genuine. I was unable to get out of work at a reasonable hour due to a late-breaking meeting so had to postpone to Friday. Friday, no answer, so suspect it was gone, alas.

Condolences Christian! I spoke to the guy early that morning before all the hub bub here and he seemed cool ,but I decided I couldn't justify another bike ,especially a museum piece at the moment.I was very curious though......

Damn, no happy ending- at least not here :( At least it wasn't a scam (that we know of, anyway).
Someone out there is happy, I'm sure.

Well, that's a bummer. :( I was hoping that you were going to get it!
Oh well, there are plenty of other fish in the sea...

Looks like it's hit the big auction site for considerably more $$$. Unless I'm mistaken and this is a different bike.

@gngroup That was another Cinelli that was on NY CL at the same time for $1000. Looks like a local flipper dude grabbed it and put it up on Ebay ,but the Campy bits are up on NY CL for way too much money. The guy didn't even clean the bike. No respect for art!:crap:

The eBay bike is WAY different than the Model B that was in this thread. Are you thinking of the SC in the other thread perhaps?
EDIT - Whoops! My reply is a bit late to the party...
