Awesome. Three tires. Cant really tell much of a difference from a photo.

Here is a Vittoria 25mm Open CX on a Pacenti SL25 rim. It is virtually identical to the SL23 but without a brake track. Spreads out to 28+mm and I ride these about 70 PSI and they're great.

Ya better take into account how it spreads' at the bottom when ya ride it.:D

In other words, since you mentioned 'real world', it means notabunch, IMHO. PSI, casing/tread/suppleness, etc, mean a lot more than just size, when they are this close-IMHO-of course.

I think this is more about actual sizes for clearance purposes etc, and not what effects how a tire rides. Afterall, casing/thread count etc. mean nothing if the tire won't fit :D

My experience:

Michelin Pro4 25 on Campy Zonda rims measure 27.2 mm.

Continental GP 4 Season 25 on HPS TB14 rims measure 26.5 mm.

Veloflex Corsa 25 on HPS TB14 measure 24.8 mm. Same tires on Zonda rims measure 23.5 mm.

The veloflex tires do seem to come in a little narrower. Clements also.

Looks like the Vittorias and Contis run a little wider.

Just got some Conti 4000s's in 28. Wouldn't clear my SRAM Force brakes.

By the way, anybody need any 4000s's in a 28 size? I'll put them in the classifieds. Don't want to jump forums.
