And other stuff--we finally got a commitment from the concrete crew for our Habitat house that has been languishing, but no way they will be pouring before Christmas.

yea, fortunately, my holiday plans hover more around eating big roasted meaty items, decadent cakes/pies and drinking wine and scotch; unaffected by weather :hello:

love the weather, wish the rain would be in evenings.

I am loving it, even with the rain. I do fear the next upcoming months to be the coldest months in nyc. We will have to wait and see I guess.

This is true - also, maybe it won't rain everyday, so it'll just be warm the entire time? Hoping to get in a lot of riding this week, fear a bunch of it will be on the Kickr, though.

We're grateful for the water over here in California. Also the ski resorts are finally having a great season.

Those balmy temps and light winds are begging to for nice steady rides with fenders and a gortex shel!l:p

Those temps are even warmer then it is here down in Virginia. I can't say I really do love it, it's winter time and I feel like I'm getting robbed. :D

I have a sneaky suspicion that we are in for one wallop of a cold spell soon though.

Most of the El Nino years that I recall have the warm/damp winter but also a cold wet spring....I would much rather have winter when it is supposed to occur...

Certainly leading to more rain out here. Let's hope it starts to make a dent in the drought, but it'll take more than just on aberration year for that to happen.

Xmas eve is forecast to be 69 and dry. My SO is even talking about joining me for a ride...

Ski areas up here are dying. Hard to picture 65 degrees on Christmas Eve in Vermont. OTOH, it's nice not to have snow on the ground from November 15th until April 15th, which we've had plenty of years. Also great to have a bunch more great weekends for outdoor chores, hiking, etc.

I'm okay with winter being a January 1-March 1 event.

(Yes, I know it's probably a sign of environmental catastrophe)

Warmest November and December in recorded history in this neck of the woods. Last year we hand tons of snow and I was out every day on the x-country skis or snowshoes. I can't wait to give my wife her brand new X-country skis on christmas... :help: I should have bought her the lead ballon I was eyeing. Must say, the non-stop, fog, rain, dark and cloudy days have been great for crushing my will to live, there is always that...

The rain here, while welcome for drought-denting purposes, is accompanied by cold weather. A bad combination. At least in Northeast Florida when it rained it was usually warm.

my family went all in with season passes and seasonal ski program and season ski house rental...
we have been skiing, but it's 'marginal' even for an optimist.

We would kill for some of that rain down here. 39 degrees here for the second day in a row, and it will only get worse as summer really kicks in . I hate summer

Supposed to rain here in Chicago today, but I took a chance and managed to stay dry on the way to work. The trip home might be a different story. Still, I had to take advantage of the forecast 61F/16C temps.

I'd rather get fat than ride indoors. I for one am happy to see Spring-like weather last as long as it can. I no longer have a winter beater bike, so once the salt and sand hit the roads I'll be done till early March. 67-70 degrees expected for Southern New England (Dec 24th). Happy Holidays
