campy hub question

Can anyone tell me if the style of splines on this cassette is compatible with 8 speed cassettes? I think this was sold originally as a 9 speed. I also know the older splines that I am used to seeing on 8 speed hubs looks more like shimano style, so there was a change in campy somewhere in the mid/late 90's right? Thanks

No, that is a 9/10 speed freehub. But, you can use a 9 speed loose cog cassette with a Wheels Manufacturing Shift-8 spacer kit.

the rear hub is indeed 9/10s. the front hub is 8s or earlier, though.

well i know that there was also a 8 speed in this spline
only very short time
i saw that with some pro´s
i think was in 1996 -1997
there was also a option the in spline 8 speed to have 9 speed
