Wiggle has these wheels for sale anyone ride them and if riding them do you like them? any issues? seems like a good deal.
The reviews I read seen very positive for a strong wheelset but a bit heavy
Or are these a better buy at $228 Campagnolo Scirocco 35 Clincher Wheelset
Thanks for any input charles

Spend an extra $150 and get Zondas, or find some used protons. They are heavy and harsh, at least the original ones were.

I've heard nothing but great things about them. 1700ish grams is not bad for the cost. Zondas are a very nice step up, but I wouldn't rule these out pending your use. I've seen the latest khamsin wheels used as trainers on some very expensive bikes. I'm guessing they wouldn't stay there if they were not any good.

Edit:
If wide is your thing, the fulcrum 7 lg is the same price and 23mm external.

I had khamsins for a while. Good wheels for the money. I wouldn't hesitate at that price.

Dunno about the Khamsin but the vento I had years ago was an spaguetti in closed turns in the rear wheel. nice cheap and flexible wheel.

I have the same wheels but not G3 pattern. Have them on my main bike for commuting. Excellent wheel for the price. Certainly not light but no issues otherwise. I paid $200 for the pair which I thought was a great price at the time from either Ribble or Chain Reaction.

Good to hear they have gotten better. I got my girlfriend the original gold ones and they ride like bricks.

Zondas are, as everyone says, great; I don't have Khamsins but for $20 +/- more I'll vouch for the Vento ASY G3-- $176 at Ribble now, 7% sale going on. ($177 PBK.) Ditch the rim tape for yellow Velocity plugs, save some grams on the cheap & go. I bought a pair (Campy hub) for cyclocross practice and am very pleased, a terrific budget wheelset. Red spoke nipples match red / black Centaur too, who knew?
