Whoa, $160 for an Army blanket. I preferred the rougher thicker wool, with the off center length-wise seam.
Only Ibex is Merino, right?

I'm not sure if you have a TJ Maxx or Marshalls near you. I've ocassionally gone in and seen a cashmere blanket for like $80. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, and I doubt it would be good for a bed, but on the couch... could be very comfortable.

I don't own any of the Fairbault Mills blankets, but I have Wisconsin relatives who own and like them. Depending on the blanket, they are %100 merino, for example the "Royal" model is described as follows:
Our Royal Carefree embodies fine craftsmanship and perfect details. Woven in 100% Merino wool and known to soften with age, the Royal Carefree is now available in an array of perfectly curated neutral colors. Its condensed weave provides excellent insulation in cold settings, but remains a medium-weight blanket for every night use.
- 100% Merino wool
- Machine wash/dry
- MADE IN AMERICA
They are pricey, but then anything merino is.....
