Well here it is.. My rear hub (Campagnolo Neutron Ultra) is feeling a little bitty. When I turn the rim on the hub I can feel a little roughness starting in the bearings. Could be just grit.

I am planing on stripping down the rear hub and re greasing. Does anyone have a source for the correct ball bearings and mebee a link to a vid or DIY on the hub rebuild.. also Grease recs please..

Go to it team !!

5/32 grade 25 bearing balls in little fiber retainers. Pop old out, new bearings in retainers, 15 per side. 5mm Allen in each end, lefty loosely non drive side axel end. 2.5mm Allen in adjust plate, unscrew. Same cones both sides(and front). Pop out seals, any grease, grease is oil in 'soap'. Make sure bearings go in same direction, facing out.

I sort of knew you would be firs to respond... I popped out the bearings and did a wash an re grease.. but the outside seals are hard and don't want to re seat properly... so that means more grot getting back in.. Any idea where I can buy new seals ??

Vecchio's has them but they are supposed to be pretty rigid with softer outside diameter, seen very few go south.

I didn't know the retainers were anything other than steel, so I didn't think to just swap the balls. Thanks.

I have to bookmark this. My Neutron Ultras have 7(?) years on them, so around 25K miles, and still turning nicely. Man, these wheels owe me nothing.
