I need compressionless cables for Spyres on my cross bike.
They need to be long for full-length internal routing.

Who makes a good one that isn't nutty expensive?

I googled it and got lost in the minutia of what is apparently a niche market for expensive, over thought, over engineered, designer cables.
I just want some that work. Preferably white.

Yokozuna (cables and especially housing) is probably your best bet unless you want to go into weight weenie stuff.

I have Jagwire "Mountain Pro Brake Cables" on all my cable disc bikes. They work amazing! Night and day difference.

Another vote for the Jagwire. Hard to find in lengths to do one bicycle only, though.

My Spyres were initially part of the first production run and were recalled. When I got them back after the recall (new ones actually) they came with TRP branded compressionless housing. Yes, it's critical and makes a big difference.

I don't know where you'd get TRP branded stuff but you might look on their website or shoot them an e-mail. I don't know who makes it.

I have a set of these (Reaction) with some BB7s and the difference at the lever is noticable. Really good stuff

+1 on Jagwire. I had a pair of HyRds for a while and tried Yokozuna and various other products. Jagwire was by far the best.

OP, I no longer have the HyRds but still have a complete package of Jagwire with enough for continuous runs from lever to rear caliper. I can make you a deal on it if you want it. Please PM me if you're interested.

REI sells rebranded Jagwire cables/housings under the Novara name.

It's very cost-effective, and quality too. You can get housing in 25 foot rolls.

I'm thinking about buying a 10 meter shop roll of Jagwire compressionless housing (in black):

Should be enough to do 3 or 4 bikes, but I only need to do one. Anybody want to split the roll with me?

+1 on Jagwire working well with HyRds. I found a 1 bike length piece on some famous auction site.
Nokon and Alligator iLink have worked well for me too, but those aren't cheap.
