Anyone tried Rip Van Wafels (http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=sr_1_5_acs_h_1i_8936730011&node=8936730011?ie=UTF8&qid=1449502532&sr=8-5-acs)? (Heard about them in the recent issue of VeloNews)
Looks like Honey Stinger Waffles (in size and calorie count)

SNARF. I teach at Brown and we always do a case study on them as the guy who started it is a Brown Student and started selling them at Brown. Big believer in tangible items to assist in teaching - so I brought in . . . Honey Stinger and let me students try it while we discussed the case.

Anyway, I finally found some the other week and purchased them to try out. They are better than Honey Stinger and better both on and off the bike (would never really eat honey stinger off the bike).

The kid is full legit Dutch. Try them warmed over a cup off coffee as an afternoon snack (clearly with coffee). Yummy.

Hmmm, I thought this was another thread about some old euro cross racer passing away...

I just signed up for Thrive Market, which brought the price down to $1/per, roughly.

I bought 3 boxes to try.

Thanks.

Hoo boy - I use to work for Philips and travelled to the Netherlands a lot. Many a time I was found carrying a case of stroofwafels back from Schiphol.....:D

Love RVWs! I'd say they're worth a try to see if you like them mid-ride.

They're one of the sponsors of Richard Sachs' cyclocross team. They're nice to have on the bike on a long ride, imho. Tim

Aldi has been selling stroopwafels recently. The quality is not bad and price appealing. My grandmother first and then my mother used to make them at home. We used to buy stroop (similar to molasses treacle) from a Dutch grocery store. Hot home-made ones make all others seem third rate...

Stroopwaffles is my preference, doesn't help the w/kg though.
