Recommendation please -- Compact bar for drop bar MTB

I want to convert another MTB to drop bar. The subject is a mid 90's Litespeed Obed. It is definitely set up 90's XC MTB style with a 3.5 inch drop from seat to bars and a lot of seat post due to my magnificently enhanced legs. :banana:

Riding will be primarily MUP, trail, local gravel.

What compact MTB drops do you like? Photos would be helpful.

I'm a highway one fan, but I would really be interested in the salsa cowchipper for a build like this. I realize neither are a mtb drop, but the cowchipper feels like a hybrid between a modern short/shallow and a dirt drop.

I'm also a fan of the Hwy 1 bars and others of that general shape. I've used Ritchey Curve, FSA Wing Pro, and Shimano Pro and have liked all of them.

The Ritchey and Soma bars have a regular (26.0?) round top outside of the 31.8 center, the Wing Pros have a flattened top (probably my least favorite), and the Pros have a 31.8 round top all the way.
