If I have a son, he'll be "Davis".

Ok, if I'm wrong, shoot me...but help me out if I'm not.
Miles played the score for a French movie...what's the movie and what's the CD, where do I get it? I heard it once...loved it.

Miles father was a dentist. Too bad Miles was a wife-beating junkie. I love his music.

Most great artists were/are tortured souls on some level. This fact doesn't forgive the behaviour but that's usually a big part of what drives their art. I'll listen to Jack Johnson, Kind of Blue, and some of the Plugged Nickel sessions today - captures a pretty good range of what he did. Pain seems to be able to produce amazing beauty.

The French film title "Ascenseur pour l'Echafaud" (or "Elevator to the Gallows" in english)
is available on dvd.
The score that Miles Davis played is available as a cd too.

It's sort of a "dangerous liasons" French "new wave" film kinda deal.
