Litespeed Vortex

What do you guys think of this frame and other litespeeds. I am considering one at a greatly reduced price, but am not sure if it is worth it over a Merlin Agilis other Ti frames. Does anyone have experience with this frame

I had a 2002 Vortex. Mostly round tubes, smooth ride, well-mannered frame.

Bought a 2004 Vortex. Multi-shaped tubes, smooth ride, but head tube shimmy at speed going downhill.

Both were well built and quality products. The new 2006 models have gone to strange shaped tubes that are not to my liking.

Buy a used Serotta from the classifieds section , you'll be better off atmo

You can get a (newer) used Legend for around $2000....I did (2004). You'd have a hard time convincing anyone here that the Lightspeed is a better frame.

Does the Lightspeed have a standard or integrated headset? Does it come with a fork?

I would hold out for a Legend or ???? Is the 2K for Frame and Fork? I was able to find my like new Moots for a bit less. Be patient grasshopper...but be ready to pounce.

Yeah, nothing against Litespeed or the Vortex, but used ti loses its value pretty fast. $2000 sounds like a lot to me.

I ride a 2005 Vortex i bought last year here off this site for $1300 plus the wheels. Its a great bike almost equal to my Legend.

I hope that cost you listed was for the entire bike. Ray is correct shop around if this was the frame and fork only.
