I ran a photo of my bike through the Deep Dream Generator about 6 times and this is what came out. It turned the Ergolever into a bird and the Flite into a giant grasshopper. YMMV. Not even a bit of flex from that frameset.

1st I've heard of this, kool!

But, what's really interesting is that it looks like Google Deep Dream Generator is using Amazon Web Services (copy the link of the photo and you'll see what I mean)

AWS is extremely popular for storage and web hosting even for very large companies. Netflix is hosted on AWS.

Yes, but Google? Don't they have more server farms than Amazon?

Anyway, that Dream Generator is very cool!

Agreed, it does some crazy stuff and seems, like me, to really like birds!

My guess is google just doesn't want to be bothered storing all these images, hah

Tony is correct to be suspicious about the hosting service. It's a red flag that this is not actually a Google product. Other indicators:

1. http://deepdreamgenerator.com/ is not a google.com address
2. there's a banner ad on the splash page
3. "Contact us" contains no mention of Google
4. Talking about Google in the third person: "It's an important goal that the search giant hopes will allow programs to classify images just by "looking" at them."
5. whois reveals that it's anonymously registered in Panama

But it is true that Google created this toy[1] and open sourced the code[2]. So this website is basically a thin veneer created by a third party to make it easier to use (can't really expect most people to download and run a python script). Since they aren't very forthright about their relationship to the big G (i.e. none) and they seem rather faceless, it comes off as a bit shady. And it is. But it's probably just some guys who thought they could harvest some ad impressions by making it easier to access the dream generator Google made.

Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the footnote [1].

not that it really matters, the whole point about open sourcing it was hoping that people would use it... :)
