What is it with all these forum members having two (or more) screen names? Isn't one anonymous personality enough for you? Or are you afraid that if you get too many posts under one name, everyone else will realize that you don't have a life? Too late, we already know... :p

They should also get two computers, so that the two personae can have a conversation with each other. Or maybe one sets up a punchline for jokes. One lobs the ball, the other hits it out of the park.

i don't know about the others, but i was
bored with the post count and didn't wanna
get near the vaulted BBDave's 5K mark.

does that scratch your itch?

You, my friend, are a machine. You are already at 60! What is it, the third day? Man!

A man jumps out of a plane for the first time. At 3000 ft he tries to open his parachute, but the cord fails. At 2000 ft he tries to open the emergency chute, but that doesn't work either. At 1000 ft he bumps into a man wearing blue coveralls and holding a torque wrench. "Can you repair parachutes?" asks the first man. "'Fraid not," says the other. "I only do bottom brackets."

although having atmo on the board kills my theory that atmo is the new banana

But --You didn't want to post past 5K so you weren't really bored, just afraid, very afraid of angering the Bee Man. :D

John,
At first I agreed with you and was so annoyed I was beside myself, but now I'm of two minds about it.

hey - i was being honest (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=211787&postcount=4). i'm not here posting
under false pretense or using multiple screen names.
where's the harm?

A mind is a terrible thing two waste. :p

Well it may just be second nature to you, but for those of us with half a brain the duality makes us have to think twice as hard, so we'll only comprehend about half of what you say.

. . . uh, no harm from my point of view, just an opportunity for word play. Multiple personalities . . . beside myself . . . of two minds . . .

Perhaps I should have used the royal "we."

doof doesn't think there are people with multiples around here -- serotta doesn't dig on that. when doof set up his conceit for the the epic battle between himself and breakwind sports, llc, serotta shut that down pretty quickly.

there may be more than one person using one screen name, but that's another issue, eh roy?

One good thing is one good and two good things are two goods, or something, atmo. I'd rather have Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie than just Glenn Close, or something, atmo.

I wouldn't mind Scarlett or Richard, but Angelina and Glenn just give me the heebie jeebies.

Schizofrenia

Characteristc symptoms: Two (or more) of the following, each present for a significant portion of time during a 1-month period (or less if successfully treated):

(1) delusions
(2) hallucinations
(3) disorganized speech (e.g., frequent derailment or incoherence)
(4) grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior
(5) negative symptoms, i.e, affective flattening, alogia, or avolition

Note: Only one Criteion A symptom is required if delusions are bizarre or hallucinations consist of a voice keeping up a running commentary on the person's behavior or thoughts, or two or more voices conversing with each other.

For all of the above, I don't think we have anything to worry about yet, atmo.

there may be more than one person using one screen name, but that's another issue, eh roy?I've never quite understood the Roy E. Munson thing. I thought one person was posting under at least two user names (Roy E. Munson, The Dominatrix), not that two were posting under Roy E. Munson.

Maybe it's better that I don't understand.
