Funny you should mention it, though... Going to two different shops last week looking for silver Sapim Race, both were astonished I wanted silver

EDIT - I see the invoice

I always have had silver spokes. Even with a black wheel I really like the contrast and all my bikes have a bit of silver.

I just got a new wheelset that is coming and has black spokes, would have preferred silver but it was a good deal.

Last time I ordered spokes there was only 27 in the bag instead of 32 (of course I had already started building the wheels ), I guess someone was sleeping on the job again.

NEVER

Admittedly if I was using black hubs and black rims then I would probably want black spokes...but would I prefer black hubs and rims over silver? No!

I actually really like black. If aluminum stuff could be black all the way through I would be completely sold. The only problem I see is that when you scratch black metal, be it alu or steel, what you see is silver. Might as well start out as silver.

You should consider uncovering the name of the company that messed up that badly. IMO.

They just said they're sending silver & I can keep the black, no charge.

Mistakes happen, I'm satisfied.

silver. always. i'd give those away to someone stuck in the early 2000s who still thinks black spokes look cool

Glad to hear it.

About the right length for box section rims... Nemesis?

Have to say that dark anodized rims sometimes look great with black spokes. At least IMO.

Post 'em up in classifieds... ;)

Haha. through trades and a bike purchase, I ended up with two wheelsets with black spokes. I'm not a fan in the slightest. Give me all silver, silver hubs/spokes with black rims or black hubs/rims and silver spokes.
