Been looking forever for the right campy group for a build.

I want this one...super record rs from 2014.

I love that little touch of Italian flag colors.

I've only seen one for sale, and it was used, and I'd really like it to be new.

Only problem is I can't find it anywhere.

Any tips?

I would jump on the used one if I was you. Still probably a pretty penny.

I like it too but would do a 80th anniversary group instead any day. And you can still find them new:

eBay is proabbly your best bet. Expect to pay a premium. Competitive Cyclist had some of the individual parts they were selling. Again, not cheap. Its essentially a Super Record group with a Chorus FD in a different badging.

I think the RS groupset was about that much so its not going to be much cheaper and seems to be rarer than 80th

Found my group for real this time!

Thank you eBay. negotiated a group price that is cheaper than what a standard super record group would be.

Amazing.

Almost there.

Waiting on delivery.

Only small bits to go.

Dream build by spring!

Is there a 59 or 60 in the model name?

Not really, the FD was modified and so were the chainrings. There is a slight improvement compared to others of the same year.

One of the best looking campy group out there. Running it on the Lobster.

Never said it was bad. I love the RS stuff.

But its basically a Super Record bits with Chorus FD with some minor tweaks and an aesthetic overhaul.

And I'm fine with that, especially for the price. It fits the theme of the bike nicely and I just really don't like that new crank shape (at least for this build).

Yep wanted to state that the FD is not a chorus FD and that the rings are not the regular SR rings from previous gen. This translate to better shifting up front compared to the regular 14 SR. I never tried the 15 mechanical so I cannot compare with that.

Don't worry, you're still like my fourth favorite French person.

Right. I have an RS group on a SS Peg. It's nice and all that, but the aesthetic changes are just not substantial enough for me to go very far out of my way to get another one if I had it to do over. Sure, form is great and I do not mean to diminish it, but I still value function first.
