Is Vittoria the only source for thread-on stems for Vittoria tires? I'd been under the impressions this wasn't just a Vittoria thing and there were other options.... no? Just the red 'uns? Not seeing jack キキキキ else.

Kinda irritating, Vittoria. You couldn't just put a little nub of a stem on there?? I only need about 10mm to clear these rims

If you have Vittorias with the red valve stem you are pretty much stuck with getting longer red ones from Vittoria. If they are the brass colored ones that they have sensibly reverted to, any valve extension will do the job.

No, just 2014 Vittoria. Then they came to their senses.

Yes.. I am the unfortunate owner of an otherwise perfectly good stemless Pave.. no it's not just a matter of extension.

Just curious, are these the ones that you need?

That's a great spot, Keith... unfortunately these are going on some Reflexes.

I guess I could just remove it after filling and keep the stem in my tool bag.. stick some kind plug in the vale hole or something

No, can't remove them after inflating - those red valve stems have the valve integrated into them - they are not extenders. If you unthread the valve stem, out comes the air......

I use the Maxxis valves that buldogge posted a link to. The Maxxis valves have removable cores, which I find very handy for injecting sealant in my CX tires. (I think the original red Vittoria valves don't have removable cores, at least mine didn't).

Whatcha need? I'm done with my Vittoria extenders as I've use up my stash of tires with them. As others have said, their newer tubs (2014 on) have standard removable valve cores which make a lot more sense and give more options (real sealant, not PitStop) for tubular flats on the road. I'm happy to pass them along gratis. PM me if interested.
