Well, the specific tools. Don't need to reinstall, just remove.

Is this as easy as hammering it out with a piece of wood or something, or should I take it to the bike shop?

Yep, aluminum.

A 1" hardwood dowel will fit into the 30mm bearing ID...

Maybe not ideal for a carbon frame, but can't see how you'd damage an alloy one. Assuming the PF30 cups are disposable plastic rather than fancy Chris King...

Doesn't look like anything fancy, this is my first time working with a PF30 though.

Are you replacing it with a Praxis or similar?

No it's an eccentric bottom bracket for road bike frame single speed conversion. Looks like it moves the bearings outside of the shell to allow for tensioning of a chain.

When I take my crank out, the spindle stays inside the BB. I just tap the spindle out with a rubber mallet and the BB comes right out. Maybe its just in my frame since the BB is not super tight in there. At first I was concerned about that but no noise no problems ever.
