Has anyone purchased or seen the VeloOrange crankset with drilled rings? I've got an 85 Merckx frameset that needs a special touch and wondering if this is a worthy item. The 48/34 rings would make it more practical for these 65 yo legs.
TIA

Reminds me of the work of Peter Johnson.

I can't comment on that specific VO crank model, but the VO 50.4 (46/30), which is inspired by the classic TA cranks, is great. I use it on two bikes running shimano 11 speed (with a FD-CX70 derailleur) and it shifts like a charm...

I've used the 50.4 bcd crankset and a few VO chainrings. Great stuff.
