To piggyback on OP's post about ditching cable media, I wonder what viewing gems the Paceline community has found in the streaming universe.
Some of the best we've watched include:

Justified
Peaky Blinders
Battlestar Galactica, the new series
Homeland
The Walking Dead
Treme
Vikings
Breaking Bad
The Americans
True Detective
Orphan Black
The Killing

What can you add?

I enjoy watching reruns of old series. Most are kid friendly.

Friends
Cheers
Seinfeld
Cosby Show (this has been less fun as more info has come out)
How I Met Your Mother.
Sopranos

I also like these current shows:
Catastrophie
Casual
Orange is the New Black (first season was really good I thought)

First couple seasons of both Weeds and Californication are well written and produced.

Beyond that they lost me.

Mr Robot
Longmire: Shot in a small town in NM that I absolutely love. Katee Sackoff, also, too.

Fargo. Season 1 was brilliant. Season 2, so far, is just as good.

I'm two episodes into this season. It takes a bit to get into with all the characters. Ted Danson is great in it.

I also loved Justified. The the cast was awesome, and Elmore Leonard's writing make for great TV.

Orphan Black is pretty addictive.
Damages is amazing for the first three seasons, it's a unique format and super suspenseful.
And of course Game of Thrones, The Wire, True Detective, House of Cards, and Orange is the New Black.

I'd have to add Rick & Morty because it's hilarious. It's animate like Archer or Bob's Burgers, but ridiculous.

It also looks like I'm about to acquire an old house, so I've begun watching the first season of American Horror Story.

Did it remain 'true' to the PKD story (written in 1962)?
Interesting to note that the book was written 17 years after WWII, and the Amazon Series 70 years after.

From what I understand, not entirely. According to reviews I've read, the book focused on San Francisco under Japanese rule whereas the Amazon series dealt with the Nazi controlled east more extensively as well as the west. The book is on my reading list.

Halfway through the 1st ep. Not too impressed, maybe it will get better.
(book was ok, but also, not great — I guess a reason why so many other PKD novels made it to the screen sooner)

The story takes some time to get going as it takes time to develop the characters and at least one subplot was pretty slow. There are aspects that are left hanging -- like the point of the heroine being an aikido expert. I'm still not sure why that was part of the story. But give it a handful of episodes. It gets better. In the meantime, the cinematography and conceptualization of NYC and San Francisco under Axis control was pretty interesting. The last episode was the best of the series, but I don't want to say anything and give it away.

"Deadwood" first by about a mile and a half

Breaking bad was good, as was Saul

"Bloodline" was surprisingly good
Liked House of Cards S01 and 02, didn't care much about S03

liking "Lie to me" and "Suits".

"Lillyhammer" is funny and entertaining, but not exactly a heavyweight.

Just started The Night Manager last night. You need to get through episode 1 to get the whole setup. It's a tiny bit of a stretch in some ways, but entertaining so far.
