View Full Version : Can you remove the decals on the Roval CLX wheelset?

As per title really - I'm interested in a pair but don't want the Roval branding on them / want to go 'stealth'. At a quick glance it looks like the decals have been lacquered over so can't be removed. Has anyone tried / anyone know if this is the case? Thanks

No decals on mine. Painted on. These are for the 2011-2013 black and grey vintage.

Thanks for the reply Hank. So if they're painted on would they remove with acetone or are they lacquered over?

It may, BUT!! I think the general dark gray is painted as well so you would have to be careful to only remove the decal and not the base color. The epoxy brake track is over the base paint as well so proceed with caution. I had some trouble with the brake track cracking from what I presume was over heating. Specialized declined to warranty them and said it was fine. I haven't ridden them much since then.
