I had this lovely thought about a set of King hubs on Stan's Hugo rims, the 29er+ rims. I wanted to have a set built up to use on my NINER SS and then at some point get a Surly Krampus as the 29er+ genre looks groovy.
So the Niner says I can fit a 2.4 inch tire in there and the Maxxis Adrents I have (in 2.4) still have loads of room. Was thinking about a 2.5 yada yada.
So my thought was would the Hugo rims work ok with a 2.4 or 2.5 tire? Stan's website says something about 2.8 to 3.0 tire. Would the tire patch on a 2.4/2.5 tire be too spread out to perform appropriately?
Figure double duty wheels would be cool. what am I not thinking about and does this make sense or am I missing a BFO problem?
