Best way to ship multiple bikes?

Anybody have suggestions on how to ship say 3 or 4 bikes? (ie, is there something better than shipping them separately?)

Bike makers/wholesalers ship each one in a separate box. I'm guessing there are reasons for that beyond maximizing distribution flexibility.

If you dont mind to drive... colorado and california arent that far appart and for 4 bikes well... do the math and how confident you are that the bikes will get to destination intact.

I have driven San Diego to Aspen many times. It's a nice two-day drive. I'd stop in Las Vegas for a couple of hours/quick meal before spending the night in St. George, Utah.
