Kinda expensive compared to other Asian made, all 'rounder frames/forks, like Soma. IMHO

How much cheaper can you be than $200 for a do-it-all road frame?

I like the paint too. Very 50's hotrod style to it: http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/frames-frames-road-ribble-winter-audax-525-frame/ribbfraw240

I nearly bought one. Wish they made a similar cross frame. It would be exactly what I'm looking for in a frame.

The headtubes are really short but if you can make it work and don't mind riding a bike with the name of a retailer mainly known for selling OEM groupsets on the downtube (I wouldn't mind!), seems like a solid deal.

the only concern i'd have is that with an overseas vendor, returns or aftermarket support could be a real hassle. if that think comes from the UK with a bent chainstay or out of alignment, it might be a challenge to have rectified.

the bikes direct offerings are probably just as solid and at least you've got someone to call if there is an issue.

If'n you don't like the brand name on the frame, you can always get out your sharpie and add a "D" at the beginning. Voila!

I worked at a Trek dealer when I was a kid and at the that time Trek came out with a mountain bike with the model name "Antelope". We found some stick on letters at the office supply place a few doors down that had nearly the identical font so we changed the model name to "Cantelope". no one ever said anything about having a bike with a model name that incorrectly spelled the name of a melon.

We got a bit bored working there as you can tell.

Why blow the budget on steel when you can go for the AL Sportif frame for $139.42 and put some money in your pocket?

I almost pulled the trigger, but then somebody made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a Mr. Pink, and, well, that metal headbadge was just screaming my name.
