I'm taking my 11 year old son to the Notre Dame vs. Pittsburgh football game this saturday (noon kick-off) and I'm hoping someone can give me insider info for best parking options. I'm not interested in tailgating, and can get into Pittsburgh by 10am or so. I'm familiar with driving downtown but not on a game day. I'm fine parking and walking across the pedestrian bridge but don't know if there is a better way to do it. I'll be driving in and out of town via the Ft. Pitt tunnel.
Thanks for any help.

Look up River Road on a map which is near the Heinz plant. Plenty of parking lots in the area and you can walk the bike/walking path to the stadium. I'll post a gps link later. Also, you can park at Station Square but I'm not sure if they'll be running the boat shuttle from there. Make sure and check road construction reports and tunnel closing reports as weekend traffic can be tough.

"Hail to PITT!"
