Trust me, they got EVERYTHING in China nowadays. They are the main supplier of everything to the rest of the world, remember? With more than a billion people, who doesn't want to break into that market?

If China can correct the trajectory of heavy car ownership; you'll see a brighter future for the world.

if they can correct the scourge of expensive car ownership among the undergrads they send to U.S., that would be a good start. I worked with one Chinese undergrad who said that of his friends at school, 8 of 10 had been in serious accidents. Kid's first car shouldn't be a $100k high powered sports car, just not prudent

If only they would buy SUVs and big ass pickup trucks like us. :bike:

But seriously, the Chinese bike scene isn't all that bad. Check out this Shanghai LBS.

I'll have to check out that shop in Shanghai. I'm in Beijing right now - the % of electric scooters vs internal combustion is far higher than I'd thought before getting here

Go to the 798 art district, there is a really awesome bike shop there called AITA. Also a ton of cool art, and cafes.
