I am not a football fan, but....

I live in Ann Arbor, my sons went to MSU, my wife's family is True Blue.

She got home from church and asked about the game. I said if MSU wins, god either went there or had money on the game.

Crazy finish.

ouch! Could not believe my eyes. No dog in that hunt and thank god it's only a stupid game with a stupid ball and not life and death :).

Ugh, what a terrible way to loose. Poor kid that fumbled the ball.

I wasn't really rooting for either team, so conflicting emotions for me. Elation for one team, and shock for the other. I'm a football fan, so it was a fun game to watch (at least the 4th quarter, as that's all I caught).

kickers...the weak link

pretty wild finish. Wonder what Harbaughs blood pressure was at that moment?

It will go down in history as one of the greatest finishes in college football.

There have been a few, kick 6, Flutie's hail mary, the missed FG return, and run Linsey run are a few others.

I'm sure there are a few more.

Never seen a finish like that. But isn't that sports? However unimaginable, eventually it happens. That one play could well have national championship implications.

As they say in Columbus O-H-I-O, muck fichigan!

It's the only time I ever cheer for M though. Sadly an unbelievable finish.

I figured the game was in the bag after 3rd down and switched over to the ALCS and missed it live. Amazing.

I do not like Michigan and I cannot stand Harbaugh, but I quit watching after the ridiculous targeting call against Michigan. In protest.

Incredible.

So what caused Jalen Watts-Jackson (the safety who ran back the ball on the final play) to dislocate his hip? The tackle, or all his own teammates piling on top of him in celebration?

vqdriver

Reported as being suffered during the celebration.

And all the kicker had to do was get tackled or fall on the ball or slide to the ground. It was the freak out and trying to somehow kick it while evading that led to that runback.

Jalen Watts-Jackson who recovered and scored broke his hip, probably from the pig pile from his teammates, out 3 mos impact a pro career? Hope he gets his studying in at Mich St.

We were driving on I-66 and put the game on ESPN radio app just in time to hear the last play. It's an amazing radio call. After the touchdown, about 30 seconds of silence and then, "I don't know how to describe what I just witnessed."

Classic.

Totally bananas. That poor kid. But when you're a kicker you only have one job and if you screw up bad things can happen.

Poor kid. In fairness to the punter, the snap was bad. I doubt any team practices 11 men rushing and a bad, fumbled snap on the last play of the game. They will now.
One in a million type of play. Anthony Carter scored a TD with 6 seconds left to beat Indiana when I was a student at U of M, so lightning can strike both ways.

They should have put away the game before it came down to that.

I cannot recall any situation in college or pro in which the punter, after getting a hold of a snap that bounced around on the ground for that long, had a successful punt. the kicker should have known that and the special teams coach should have reinforced that. bad things can happen if you try to run or kick...just ask garo.

Damn right! I was in the Cal student section for my first Big Game that day. Subsequent 32 editions have not lived up to the first experience somehow.

In an ironic way. The photo depicts stunned incredulity on Michigan fans' faces with the Florida-FSU score in the upper right corner. No Michigan-Michigan State score or time remaining in the game in the photo...

No Michigan-Michigan State score or time remaining in the game in the photo...Got it...I missed that. I'm a UF alumni and was thinking that the LSU game was going to be ugly for the Gators without their regular QB. But they ended up playing really well and the trick play at the end of the game gave LSU the win.
