Sickening for sure, will your insurance provide decent coverage?

When something like this happens, the feeling of being violated is often more impactful than the actual items stolen. Then, you get angry that someone would take your hard earned items. At that point, you conjure up what you'll do to them if you catch up with them. Hope the police catch them. Sorry for your loss.

Can you add some details about the bikes stolen? Might help if anyone spots them on CL or eBay.

This has happened to me a couple of times and its the worst feeling. So sorry to hear. I was in college so did not have many valuables and no bikes so I can imagine how much worst it is for you.

Hope insurance takes care of you.

oof, thats terrible. I had a few beater bikes stolen when I attended the UO. Hard to believe such a small town has the second highest rate of bike theft per capita.

Could it have possibly been tweakers? When I worked at Hutch's in downtown, we would get some shady characters trying to unload nice looking bikes for not even a quarter of what they were worth. Conversely we had a few customers who reported their garage doors had been pried open with crowbars and car jacks with only bikes being stolen despite having power tools and electronics lying around.

Send out a notice on OBRA, and canvas the local shops, (Collins, Hutchs, BWOL, etc)

good luck

Ck CL. You could even make a post, but that might prevent the thief from posting. And you want them to, so you can call the law. Also set a saved search in ebay to get a notification if something similar comes up.

Sorry man. I'll keep an eye out in SF. Were any of the serial numbers logged with any of the online bike registries?

All three bikes look like you had invested the time, energy and money to dial them in to exactly what you wanted. From my seat, that makes it doubly-bad.

If you can post some details, I'll let my brother in Northern Wash know to keep an eye out up there and can watch in this area, too (though I'd be surprised if it made it this far...).
Good luck ~ hope EVERYTHING turns up and the sick feeling subsides.

Thanks all for kind words. Don't expect to find and hope insurance comes through. Could have been worse but still hard to stomach.
