Has anyone ridden both of these versions of the Arione? Do they feel noticeably different? Some reviewers have noted that they could feel the edges of the VSX higher channel; true? Put most simply, I guess, do either of these give you the good things about an Arione with a bit of, um, relief in the sensitive bits? TIA.

experienced with Antares VS and VSX - i'd say the diff is significant - with the VSX the padded areas are thicker, should be likewise with the Arione.

i rode a standard Arione for cyclocross for a little bit, but for anything over an hour it wasn't good for my undercarriage.
rode Antares VS a couple years until coming across a smoking deal on a carbon-railed VSX late summer this year, it's been good.
not sure i'd say better, but different.

The channel edges of the VSX are much sharper than the regular VS, and I felt kind of squooshed. the VSX is also a bit firmer/harder. I didn't like the VSX and use the R3 and VS models.
